Under the microscope...

It's Sunday nite. Not ready for work tomorrow. But not upset about having to go. That's an awesome thing...having a job that I don't mind going to. That is a good thing! It's been a good weekend. Friday nite, had happy hour after work with Shauna, Anne, Susan and Lisa. It was Shauna's b-day, so good to see her for a minute. Saturday was Lisa's b-day party on the mall. It was a kite festival-very cool. We had relatively good weather too, so that was nice. We went back to the Dawson House after, watched "The Cutting Edge." Toe pick!!! Love it. Had Sabang (Indonesian) for dinner--yummy, but soooo hot. Church, lunch, nap today. It's been a slow, but good weekend.

So off to bed soon. Watching the Tiger Wood's interview on 60 Minutes. He is quite the guy-hence the title of this post. What a great guy, that Tiger...giving back. Here's to Tiger!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO SHAUNA B!!! HAPPY 3OTH, MY FRIEND!!!! HERE'S TO 30 MORE!!!

So, today is Shauna's 30th. We had a party last nite...fun stuff. Dinner at Portner's with the girls. It was good to celebrate a life well-lived so far. My prayer is that you will continue to find out what God has for you, Shauna, and pursue it. You are a wonderful blessing to me and more than anyone deserves in a best friend. Thank you. That makes today a lucky day for me! I should go buy a lotto ticket!!! ;)

So it's Friday! TGIF! Big plans: Lisa's 30th party is Sat. Happy belated, Loverman!!! Sunday was to be skiing at Whitetail. Alas, it has closed for the season. We shall see.

No news is good news, right? Stay tuned for a big post this weekend...with pics!!! In the meantime, in the words of Alliyah..."it's Friday, and I'm ready to swang, pick up my girls and hit the party scene..."

Bad blogger...

I've been awful. Forgive me???

Things here are good. It's cold today, but we've been teased off and on for a couple of weeks of what spring will be like. There is nothing like spring here. The cherry blossoms are beginning to bloom. So gorgeous.

No big news. Starting to register for some tri's. I'm all signed up for the Bath Co. Triathlon on June 24. I'm probably going to die. It's very hilly. I'm very, very out of shape. Oiy.

Ran in a 5k this weekend. FREEZING. About 20 degrees to be exact. Still shaking off icicles.

What else? I've had a very boring month thus far. My weekends have been alot of not much. I did go see Billy Joes last week. AWESOME. Dog sat for over a week. Oh, and I wrecked my car....grumble, grumble. Rear-ended a cherokee. My fault. Oh well, whatcha gonna do?

So, I'm at lunch, neet to actually eat, gonna do better by the blog-o-sphere starting this week, I promise! In the meantime...here's 5 things for today....

Grateful:
1. Telephone. Had alot of good, long conversations this weekend. Good stuff.
2. Grace. Lord knows I need it. And being given it makes it easier to extend.
3. Spring. No explanation needed, right??
4. Birthdays. Having alot of them this month. So fun. So grateful for the wonderful people in my life.
5. Pictures. Like photographs--something to look at to remind me of who and what is most important in my life.

Good stuff.

Randomness

Okay, I'm just too tired, and too over-computered to spend any reasonable amount of time updating this thing. Give me a minute to figure out my new job and get acclimated and I promise I'll do a better job of updating. For today, in no particular order, I'm just going to go with my random thoughts...

Congrats to Heather and Chad on new baby Isabelle! Born healthy on Fat Tuesday. Hope to see a pic soon!

Work is good. It gets better every day. I really like it. Not much else to say there. Oh, but so far, the commute isn't that bad, actually. Around an hour.

Spring is getting near....I can see the green tips of the daffodills coming in!! YAHOO!!!

Registering for my first and second tri's of the summer: one mini in Manassas on June 4--one biggie on June 24 in Bath County. That one's gonna suck. Hilly.

Still excited about Ireland! I'm on Anne's "to do" list today so we can book a hotel!

Happy Birthday to Jill! Had a nice dinner party for her last nite. She's my Sunday School partner and she's a blast. I'll have to tell some of the 5th grade girls' stories sometime....especially the "this is how I make love" one. Priceless.

I'm cold. brrrrr....

Heading to see the great Billy Joel in a couple of weeks!!! SWEET.

House-sitting for a week in Bethesday. SO excited...get to sleep late!

And now I'm off to begin my Saturday!!!
