Holy Week

So it's here...the most important week of the year in terms of Christianity. It's very exciting to me because I have a big plan to make it special. I had a friend share a "weeklong life worship exercise" to commemorate this special week. I started off today at church with my 5th grade girls (I teach Sunday school) waving palm leaves up and down the aisle at church. We will have several services throughout the week. The big stuff starts on Maundy Thursday. I am really excited about having a week of reflection. It's almost easier at Easter than Christmas to take the holiday seriously...it's so much less comercialized. Anyway....have a very blessed week!

Catching up....had a really good week at work. Crazy busy. I finally got thru Alabama...this was a big step...the territory was huge. Now I start in Arkansas! Fun stuff! Still loving the new job, so that's good. We move up to the 10th floor tomorrow (Monday). It's totally been re-done to look much more like what you would expect from a Discovery office!

Shauna and I hung out today in Old Town, Alexandria. It is gorgeous and sunny here today. A big step up from the rain and cold we've had all weekend. We sat outside at O'Connell's and put together our Hawaii scrapbooks. Fun stuff. Once I figure how to get pics off my new RAZOR phone, I'll publish one!

Other news: going to Ireland in less than 3 weeks! WAHOO! We're all booked for a trip to the Outer Banks, NC for Memorial Day weekend. Amy, me, Shauna, Anne and hopefully Maradee are gonna have a fun trip! I hear it's not your typical beach trip but beautiful in a rustic, new-england kind of way.

HAPPY 26TH BIRTHDAY, JEFF!!! My baby bro turns 26 today! Man, I feel old.

I got a bunch of nothing to tell. But here's one funny story for ya....
Picture it...a deli, lunchtime, packed out...I'm by myself. On the whiteboard are the daily specials. Sandwich, fries and a coke-$5.75, soup-$3.25, etc....and then written in bold, red letters--"Fruit snakes--$3.25." I lost it. I was by myself laughing hysterically. I was desperately trying to reach anyone to make myself not look insane. Having a hard time dialing thru the tears running down my face. Finally, I turn to the lady next to me and say, "I have to point this out to somebody...look...fruit snakes!!! How funny is that?" She says, "yeah." I laughed and laughed all day. Mostly alone.

Happy Holy week! He is risen...He is risen, indeed!!!
